The SLG35-A twin-screw extrusion and puffing test machine is a puffing food equipment developed using advanced twin-screw extrusion and puffing technology, combined with our company's rich experience in puffing food technology research over the years, suitable for research, teaching, and formula development. The characteristics of this device are: the screw has self-cleaning function, high material pushing efficiency, and good cutting and homogenization effects on materials. The host adopts a stable and reliable variable frequency speed regulation system, centralized control, and more convenient and accurate operation. The twin-screw part of the machine adopts co rotating, fully engaged, trapezoidal spiral type. This testing machine belongs to the advanced level in China, and its development and production have filled the gap of small diameter twin-screw extrusion and puffing testing machines in China.

As shown in the figure, the SLG35-A host mainly consists of 9 parts. Firstly, mix the raw materials and add them to the storage cylinder. The mixed raw materials are then transported to the extrusion chamber through the feeding device. The extrusion chamber is equipped with heating and cooling devices to control the constant temperature required for the raw materials. The screw in the extrusion device is controlled by a powerful driving device and a reliable distribution box to ensure the stability of the equipment. The distribution box is a key part of the equipment and is forcibly lubricated by the lubrication device to ensure operation! The raw materials are mixed, kneaded, and extruded into semi-finished products through specific molds under high temperature and high pressure in the extrusion chamber, and finally cut into qualified products by the ⑦ rotary cutting device.
All power of this device is centrally controlled by the control panel, making it easy to operate!
(1) Automatic feeding mechanism:
The mechanism consists of screws, silos, mixing fins, frames, motors, etc. Installed on the body distribution box, with adjustable speed through spiral feeding.
(2) Squeezingpuffing machine:
The machine consists of six parts: extrusion system, lubrication system, thrust mechanism, transmission system, heating system, and cooling system.
The twin-screw extrusion system consists of two screws that are kneaded in the same direction. Both screws are left-handed, meshing with each other and rotating in the same direction. During the working process, the materials adhered to the screw are scraped and pushed forward. The screw is composed of five parts with pitches of 28mm, 22mm, 16mm, and 14mm respectively. The end screw has a pitch of 16mm and is evenly distributed with five semi-circular grooves in the axial direction. All threads are trapezoidal with a depth of 5.5mm. The extrusion device is equipped with heating and cooling devices to control the constant temperature required for the raw materials; On the other hand, when passing through the last stage of the screw, the material can be fully subjected to shear force, increasing internal energy and completing expansion.
The lubrication system consists of a gear pump, an oil tank, and an oil circuit, which forcibly lubricate and cool the rotating parts of the distribution box.
The main driving force in the transmission system is the specially customized MTD series helical gear hard tooth surface reducer MTD77, with a speed ratio of 1:9.25, directly connected to a 5.5KW ABB motor. The power enters the distribution box and is decomposed into two output shafts that rotate in the same direction; The helical gears Z18 and Z42 are external meshing and belong to a triangular transmission system. The two Z18 helical gears each carry the torque and radial thrust transmitted by the screw. The speed control system of this machine adopts variable frequency speed control technology, which is reliable in adjustment, has a large adjustment range, and runs smoothly. The gear shafts inside the box are equipped with the most advanced series thrust cylindrical roller bearing set, model M4CT1242, to ensure the stability of the equipment.
The heating system and cooling system complement each other (matched with the water tower). The heating is divided into three areas, each with one infrared stainless steel heating coil to control. The power of each heating coil is 0.5KW, for a total of 1.5kw. The temperature of each area can be independently adjusted. Cooling is divided into three zones, each corresponding to a heating zone, which is automatically controlled by an electromagnetic valve according to the heating temperature to ensure temperature balance.
(3) Rotary cutting device
It consists of a motor, a tool holder, and a linear guide rail. The tool holder is fixed on the mold body, and the motor can move forward and backward through the linear guide rail to adjust the gap between the cutter and the mold! The motor drives the cutter to rotate and cut the required length of the product.
(4) Control section
All systems of the SLG35-A host are centrally controlled by a control panel, which is easy to operate, reliable in control, and equipped with multiple automatic protection devices and status indicator instruments.
